Exactly three weeks from now the school year will be over. Each one of us in the faculty room is full of excitement and anticipation. (I guess students are more excited 🙂 )
Grades and forms should be submitted and reports should be done. Even the thought of filling out tables in MS Excel becomes tiring.
But this is not comparable to the days which await us after the last day of the academic year. Imagine the extra sleeping hours, movie marathons, and endless online chats!
Paul was right when he told the Roman Christians, “I consider that our present sufferings are not worth comparing with the glory that will be revealed in us.”
It has been a wonderful year with the beautiful and loving people who added spice and sweetness to my life as a teacher (well, that include my students who stretched not only my patience but also my heart).
So let’s just hang on. Never forget to live the present moment. And with so much joy and anticipation, dream the future!
